Bright Larbo, a 22 year-old Takoradi Polytechnic Student and Nasiru Amoah, a 24 year-old Welder were drown on December 25, at the Albert Bosomtwe beach at the Sekondi Fishing harbour.
The bodies of the two were washed ashore on Sunday morning.
Eyewitnesses say they saw three persons drowning but with the help of some revellers, one of them only referred to as ‘BB’ was rescued.
The tragic incident was reported to the police who initiated a search and rescue mission with the support from residents.
Amoah, a Muslim was buried hours after his body was discovered, whilst the body of Bright has been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue.
In a related development, three children perished in a fire accident after their mother left them in a kiosk on Boxing day at Amanful in Takoradi.
The bodies of the three victims, one girl and two boys from one to three years have been conveyed to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital Morgue.
