It is estimated that 2.7 million Ghanaians representing 10 percent of the population are suffering from mentally related illnesses and this has therefore made Mental Health, an issue of prime concern to Ghanaians.
To fight this canker, Antis Limited, a leader in the distribution of building materials has supported the Pantang Psychiatric hospital as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Despite some support for institutions within the mental health sector, it is important for more corporate entities to extend their support to them through various initiatives to ensure that the mental health delivery system within the country runs efficiently.
This continues the projects undertaken by Antis in bringing smiles to communities through its socially enhancing projects.
Previous projects undertaken by Antis Ltd include the sponsoring of brilliant but needy students within its catchment area particularly Agbogba, Old Ashongman and Kwabenya. It has also been involved in the sponsorship of some Christian based activities.
CEO of Antis Ltd, Patrick Adjepong Anti, noted in an interview with Peacefmonline.com that corporate social responsibility forms an integral part of their operations and noted that “we at Antis strongly believe in impacting society through the fruits of our business. Since we also live in the same society, we are always passionate about our corporate social responsibilities because it is a way of supporting good initiatives within our communities”.
Under the leadership of its Managing Director, Mr. Patrick Adjepong, Antis Ltd has risen to become a market leader in the supply of building materials within and outside the country.
Being the one of the largest distributor of cement in the country, Antis Ghana limited believes and aims at quality delivery and integrity.
Mr. Patrick Adjepong ended by stating that the decision to support Pantang Psychiatric Hospital is to contribute their quota to tackling the problems that plague the mental health sector.
