The Public Relations Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Mr. James Lartey has cautioned the general public to be careful about the kinds of consumables they purchase on the market for the festive season.
He said there is usually an influx of unauthorized consumables on the market when Christmas approaches and as such it is the responsibility of consumers to be extra careful.
James Lartey gave the caution after Kasapa News visited the Makola and Kaneshie markets respectivelyon Wednesday to find out how business was doing and chanced upon some consumables especially drinks and biscuits which had no expiry and manufacturing date.
Mr. James Lartey stated that the FDA has deployed some National Service Personnel to various markets to check for unathourised goods and any trader found with such items will be punished by the law.
