The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Volta Region is to construct a Bulk Supply Point (BSP) at Kadjebi to boost voltage levels of power distribution to the northern part of Volta Region.
The project, with support from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCO) will enhance greater network flexibility and improve power reliability, Mr Fred Baimbill-Johnson, Public Relations Officer at the Regional office told heads of institutions and students during the Company's routine institutional visits.
He said the new BSP would serve Hohoe, Jasikan, Dambai and Nkwanta with a population of 50,000 and resolve intermittent power cuts to those areas.
Mr Joseph Forson, General Manager, ECG, VR, said the Company was also replacing wooden poles with steel tubular ones to forestall perennial burning of wooden poles for efficiency and called for support of all.
