A police officer from the Kwabenya Police Station has been killed in a hit-and-run accident.
The deceased, Corporal Richard Antwi, met his untimely death when an unknown vehicle ran into his Suzuki motorcycle on the Aburi-Madina stretch.
He is survived by two sons, who he is a breadwinner to.
The incident occurred at about 8:20pm on October 15 around Masalakyi, near the West African SHS junction, when the deceased was returning from work.
According to the police, the unknown driver, who was not paying attention to other road users, ran into Antwi's motorbike, causing him to fall.
The police further detailed that when Antwi fell off, two other unidentified vehicles ran over him.
Antwi was rushed to the Police Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body has since been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
