Merry Makers flocked various entertainment centres, beaches, drinking spots and street corners of Sekondi-Takoradi on Boxing-Day, December 26, a day designated to give gifts to loved ones across the globe.
The Oil City was alive with many revellers, enjoying themselves at the various beaches such as Africa beach, Vienna-City, and Last Hour beach among others.
Some masquerade groups such as Oil City, Freedom and Justice, Iron Figthers, Holy City, Yankeey Boys, Ocean, Panya, Millionaires, Cosmos and Chinese engaged in a competition to determine who had the best outfit and exhibited beautiful dancing formation amidst brass band music to the admiration of various onlookers.
While many onlookers lined up on the streets, others observed the spectacular performances from roof-tops and balconies.
Mr David Wilberforce, a reveller who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) expressed gratitude to God for his life and the grace to go through the year.
Some merry makers were seen dancing to the tunes of Patata’s One Corner, Kwami Eugene's Angela, Ebony’s Maame Hwe, Wutah's Bronya and Kofi Kinataa’s Single and Free.
