Mr Anthony Danso, Ho Municipal Police Commander has said Police investigations failed to adduce evidence against the arrest of some members of the Church of Pentecost at Sokode-Gborgame in the Municipality for defying the President's directive against social gatherings.
He said, “so far, there is no sufficient evidence to support the case.”
Mr Danso stated this in a situation report titled, "Police Report Regarding the Church of Pentecost Incident in Sokode-Gborgame,’’ made available to the Ghana News Agency.
It said two suspects, Seth Amoako and Ernest Adzikah were arrested by the Police patrol team on Sunday, April 5, 2020, as leaders of the Church upon a tip-off, however, Police investigations could not corroborate the account of the informant.
