The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana is threatening to march naked on the streets of the national capital to express its anger at the government over the ever-increasing prices of fuel.
The drivers intend to block major roads during that demonstration.
The group’s National Public Relations Officer, Mr David Agboado, told Korku Lumor on Class91.3FM’s 505 news programme on Thursday, 19 May 2022: “We are giving the government two weeks; if nothing is done, we the drivers will take to our heels and do the naked demonstration”.
“This time around, we are going naked so that it sounds different; that’s what we want to do so that the government will sit up”, he said.
Comparing the prices of fuel in Ghana to her neighbours’, Mr Agboado said: “When you go to Burkina, their fuel price is 7.81; when you go to Togo, it’s 7.62; when you go to Ivory Coast, it’s 8.62”.
“Why? Are they also not facing the same thing that we are facing?” he wondered.

Hahahaaaa, we are told the unstable prices of fuel in Ghana is as a result of the Russia- Ukraine War. As to how it's only Ghana that is the hardest hit by this war, maybe only Akuffo Addo can tell. Currently you can make a savings of close to GHC 800.00 if you buy a drum of diesel in Burkina Faso. Currently Ghanaian London vehicles carrying goods to Burkina Faso just buy a little fuel in Ghana to enable them gross over and then buy as much as they can because theirs is cheaper. I don't know the magic of the burkinabe such that even with the military ruling that country, they can still surmount the Russia Ukraine war to perform better than Ghana. Currently Inflation in Togo 2.5%, Burkina Faso(military regime) 2.6%, Ivory Coast 5.4%, Kenya 6.1%, the almighty black star of Africa ( Ghana 23.%%) . In these countries their politicians think before talking. 'In Ghana politicians are paid to talk not to think' ( Benjamin kumbour, 2- - - -). Maybe we need to import one president and ministers from these countries to come and take over for one year and teach us how they are able to do it. Even a war torn country liberia has an inflation of 11.8%. George Weah can go and play football and still come back and beat Ghana at a time ours is in class with all the economic theories on his table, hahahaaaa.
Go ahead! You are well informed price of fuel. So go to where the prices are low and stop disturbing us. Are you a driver or a politician?
