Lead counsel for the petitioners in the ongoing Supreme Court case, Philip Addison on Wednesday told star witness for the first and third respondents, Johnson Asiedu Nketia not to assume offering saucy answers to questions posed to him are ways and means to get him agitated.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, in response to a question posed to him by Lawyer Addison as to whether he is aware there is a law that new polling stations cannot be created forty two days to an election, noted that my Lord, I am not a lawyer.
Lawyer Addison, in an attempt to remind Asiedu Nketia of the thirty four years of experience he claims to have about elections, was met by piercing response from the witness who hastily quipped in that yes, but I have never claimed to be a lawyer...none of my certificates includes a certificate in law.
The above quotation threw the whole court into laughter and this prompted Lawyer Addison to caution Asiedu Nketia to bear in mind that impish answers to questions posed to him, were directed at the court ruling over the matter and not him(Lawyer Addison).
