Former President John Agyekum Kufour has called on members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain calm and wait on the Electoral Commission (EC) to officially release the final Presidential and Parliamentary election results.
Speaking in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi in Peace FM’s election live updates, the former President advised the NPP faithfuls not to engage in anything that may result in violence.
He however expressed worry over the delayed declaration of the electoral results by the EC and the Commission’s revelation that there’s over-voting in some of the results.
He wondered why such claims of over-voting by the EC because to him, there were no complaints of over-voting at the polling stations.
Former President Kufour called for law and order, further urging the members to keep their fingers crossed for the official electoral results from the Commission.
He also celebrates his 78th Birthday today.
