The Electoral Commission (EC) has apologised to polling agents who are yet to receive their allowances 5 months after the December 7 elections.
Speaking in an interaction on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the Commission in charge of Corporate Services said they are working hard to ensure that everyone is paid.
"We've started paying them . . . so far we've paid about 46,000 out of 236,000 officials. This week 50,000 more will be paid . . . we plead with them to give us more time; very soon everyone will be paid," he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.
