The Government Assurance Committee of Parliament has summoned five Ministers to appear before it to answer questions on promises they had made to Parliament.
Key among the five ministers are those of Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah and Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang of Education.
Chairman of the Committee, Emmanuel Bedzrah told Radio Ghana that Mr Armah Buah who was then responsible for energy made promises to the effect that by August last year, gas would flow from the Jubilee fields to Atuabo.
He said Mr Armah Buah will have to answer whether that promise was fulfilled, and its impact on electricity generation as the nation is currently facing erratic power supply.
The five ministers are Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang – Education, Dr Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah - Health, Alhaji Amin Amidu Sulemana – Roads and Highways, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah - Energy and Petroleum and Seth Terkper – Finance.
