The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Bagbin has expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for their support throughout the year 2021.
In a Christmas message, the Speaker said “Parliament would not have made it this far, neither would I as a Speaker of Parliament, without the support of the good people of Ghana.”
"With the year coming to an end and the festive season upon us, this is the time to express my appreciation to all Ghanaians for the support, love, prayers and criticisms that have combined to bring us this far" he noted.

Weak speaker of Parliament, ever in the history of Ghanaian politics and democracy. Your name is called Bagbin?
I wished the legal brains of Ghana would come out here to help me know if Mr. Bagbin, the speaker, could be sacked from his post because he had messed up abysmally with his demeanor in parliament. In my opinion, it has become abundantly clear that being fluent in a specific language is one thing, and being intellectually competent in a specific field of profession is quite another. Then, for me, Mr. Bagbin, with his many years of experience in parliament, has failed to apply his informed knowledge of the parliamentary proceedings, either out of a lack of integrity or because his self-seeking interests outweigh everything. If either is true, then he does not qualify to occupy that position as a speaker of the Ghanaian parliament.
Some of us thought that you will excel as a speaker because of your experience but gradually you are becoming one of the worst speakers Ghana has ever had under the 4th Republic. Please redeem your image. Don't allow partisanship cloud your judgement. Leave a good legacy.
Congratulations, you started with fighting and have ended with fighting.
ASK BAGBIN knows no shame to even come out to speak to Ghanaians as if nothing had happened instead to apologise to the whole country for his shameful behaviour throughout the year. #bagbinmustgo# No matter what he does NDC will never come to power anymore as I decree like the Jews said never again!!!. NDC YAAMUTU NDC YAAMUTU NDC YAAMUTU
What a disgraceful Speaker bequeathed to Ghana, the first ever under the 4th Republic. His statement is steep in hypocrisy and utter arrogance. After apologizing for the crass behaviour of the NDc MPs, he instigated another lawless situation by deliberately rising for his deputy to preside. He then disappeared without a word just to prepare the ground for the NDC MPs to attack the deputies and physically prevent them from exercising their right to vote in that house. What mortal damage would Ghana have suffered if he had stayed for the e-levy to be passed? It is obvious he opted for the embarrassment of Ghana through the childish and gyimi behaviour of the NDC MPs. He is as incompetent and arrogant as he is corrupt and stiff-necked. he must resign!! ***barred word***, ***barred word***!!!!
Is Bagbin not ashamed to come out to even talk like this. Why is he not responding to Kwaku Baako’s exposure. This so called speaker is ***barred word*** to sit in that seat. The position came to him as a shock and it has eating into his head leading to this display of arrogance and foolishness in parliament. Bagbin, you have the last opportunity on January 18, 2022 to preside over parliament and pass the people’s budget or you will cease to be speaker and you will be responsible for your action
Ghana is not ready for Bipartisan power sharing. Just look at how Bagbin and NDC have disgraced themselves
WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO GOD FOR GIVING TO US SUCH A WONDERFUL SPEAKER.. EVEN JESUS CHRIST IS STILL BEING CRITICIZED... KEEP ON DOING THE GOOD WORK.. WE'VE KNOWN YOU AND NOT SURPRISED HOW YOU ARE DOING YOUR WORK.. ***barred word*** FOOLSOLDIERS. KEEP ON CRYING
Never thought I would say this but Mr. Bagbin is the worst speaker we have had in our 4th republican era. Adjetey was better, Bamfo for was better, Ocquaye and even Doe Adjaho. You cannot be an aspiring presidential candidate of a political party and a speaker of Parliament at the same time. Apart from being utterly incompetent, he seems very arrogant and has an aura of unhealthy self-importance. I don't think our country is ready for the bipartisanship we all want and unfortunately, Bagbin is a perfect example of this. So, so unfortunate.
