Nana Addo Denies 'Pissing' On Mosque's Walls

Son of Ghanas first president and a former member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, has waded into the controversy generated by reports that flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) pissed on a mosques wall saying he is appalled at the unbridled desire of the NDC to resort to propaganda...

...and their penchant to discuss trivial matters such as where a presidential aspirant takes a leak, instead of subjecting his policies to critical debate.

Dismissed as the Coordinator of the National Youth Council over a year ago after he launched a scathing attack on President J.E.A. Mills, labelling him as a weak leader in an interview with the Africa Watch magazine, Sekou Nkrumah has never missed an opportunity to say it like it is.

The Ghanaian Lens newspaper, in a publication on Tuesday, December 6th, claimed the NPP flagbearer desecrated Moslems when he together with his entourage paid a courtesy call on the overlord of Damango, Yagbonwura at his palace last Wednesday.

The banner headline of the newspaper read: After Desecrating Islam On Eid-ul-Fitr, Akufo Addo Pisses On MoslemsAs He Urinates In Public On The Wall Of A Mosque.

Obviously surprised at what he described as the NDCs propaganda at play, he questioned why the NDC considered it as a taboo when some people from the other side of the political divide raised issues about the health of the sitting president.

He argues that if Nana Addo did really pass water in public on the wall of a mosque, it is a clear reflection of the countrys poor infrastructure.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Sekou Nkrumah opined that since Nana Addo was an elderly person, it is safe to assume that he must have been in some form of extreme discomfort at the time he wanted to visit the restroom. He, however, advised the NPP flagbearer to keep a big cup in his car to serve as his urinal can the next time he embarks on a long journey, instead of having to step out to do so.

To him, the accusation that Nana Addo has shown gross disrespect to Muslims, was a terrible propaganda since he choose a Muslim as his running mate in 2008, adding that no presidential candidate would ever go round peeing everywhere.
