Member of Parliament for Gomoa West, Mr Francis Kojo Arthur, has appealed to supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to exercise restraint and give the government time to address their concerns.

He said they must help the government to deliver on promises it made to the nation.

Mr Arthur was speaking to some NDC supporters who gathered at the partys constituency office to witness the MPs submission of forms to contest the up-coming parliamentary primaries.

The MP said he was confident that the governments mandate would be renewed in the 2012 and urged supporters to disabuse the perception of the detractors that President John Atta Mills would serve only one term.

I am very confident that due to the good work the government is doing to improve the economy, especially infrastructure, the NDC would win the 2012 general elections with a wide margin, Mr Arthurs said.

He however cautioned the supporters against complacency and said they must work harder to explain the governments achievements to the people.

Mr Arthur urged them to register when the voters register is reopened and to encourage their friends and relatives to register and cautioned them against electoral fraud, saying the NDC would win the election in a fair and transparent manner.
