President John Mahama is being asked to deepen the rules of media engagement as a cue from his predecessor Professor Mills who understood the need to promote a free and vibrant media.
This is because a free media holds the government accountable which is fundamental to national development.
Speaking to Radio Ghana's correspondent on "President Mahama and Media Relations", Vice President of the GJA, Affail Monney points out that President Mahama has a host of talents, with his communications background.
Mr Monney said he is optimistic that President Mahama will bring his communication skills to reflect in his administration by using the media to serve as checks and balances on his presidency.
