A member of the New Patriotic Partys (NPP) Communication team, Hopeson Adorye, has accused and lambasted the clergy men who are rubbishing the prophecy of the founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah of the Presidents untimely death.
According to Hopeson Adorye, the word Prophet should be treated with dignity among the clergy who are tarnishing the image of Owusu-Bempah.
The work of a prophet is not an easy task.
"The work of a prophet in the Bible is not like a teacher, a pastor or a bishop, their work is to foretell what is ahead and pray over it. There are a few people who can be ordained as such,ďż˝ he said.
Speaking on OKAY FMs afternoon political talk show programme, Ghana Decides, Hopeson Adorye in a heated argument accused Bishop Agyin-Asare, Rev. Steve Wengham and Archbishop Duncan-Williams for taking a four wheel drive each from the President to downplay Owusu-Bempahs prophecy.
If you are given a land cruiser from the President, what else do you expect from them.Agyin-Asare has been given a land cruiser, Duncan has been given a four wheel drive and Wengham has been given a land cruiser as well.
So the land cruisers given to them has become their source of motivation to speak against their colleague of God. There is no evidence for me to prove, it is clear they are all cruising in the cars. Agyin-Asare is currently using the car the President gave him, he alleged.
Hopeson was however quick to say he cant justify whether the clergy men are members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
I will not say they are NDC members, but what I am saying is the 4X4 given to them is their source of motivation. These three pastors (Agyin-Asare, Duncan and Wengham) are not doing any good to the President; they are not doing any good to the president, he repeated.
As men of God, if any prophecy is out, I (Hopeson) expect them to call each other and intercede for the President. There is no alarm for insults. These same people blamed Owusu-Bempah for not revealing the prophecy of the late Prof. Mills so it could be reverted, he said.
Despite the bombardment, Hopeson Adorye mentions Archbishop Duncan Williams among the other two as his mentor who he never stops listening to every Sunday.
No matter what you will do, Duncan Williams is my spiritual mentor. I listen to him every Sunday but upon his riches, he accepted the four wheel drive from the President in other to garbage the prophecy, he said.
The three clergy men; Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare, Rev. Steve Wengham and Archbishop Duncan-Williams have all come under heavy criticisms from a section of the NPP party members and the public for debunking Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempahs prophecy about President John Mahamas untimely death if prayers are not said to revert it.
