Businessman Alfred Woyome who is at the center of the GHC 51 million judgment debt saga, Alfred Woyome has informed the court trying him for conspiracy to commit crime, defrauding by false pretense and corrupting public officials that he would be traveling to United States of America.
The Financial Division of the Accra Fast Track High Court resumed hearing of the criminal case against Mr. Woyome on Wednesday.
Upon notifying the presiding Judge Justice Ajet-Nassam, Woyome was guaranteed of his rights to travel but cautioned to avail himself on the next adjourned date April 27.
The Legal Director of the Public Procurement Authority, Leslie Duodoo was in court as the sixth prosecution witness and was thoroughly examined on the interpretation of the procurement act and the rejection of a tendering process.
The other witnesses, who have testified in the case so far include the Deputy Head of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mrs. Mangowa Ghanney and former Minister for Finance, Yaw Osafo-Maafo.
