Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo Ano South, Stephen Balado Manu has appealed to his party leadership to settle issues within the party that have escalated in the media in recent times.
Discussion over who leads the party in 2016 in the wake of the Supreme Courts dismissal of the election petition continues to rage on within the NPP.
Some bigwigs in the party including the General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie want Nana Addo to run unopposed in 2016 in spite of his (Nana Addos) assertions that he intends taking a break from politics for a while.
This has generated a storm of controversy but the former Ahafo Ano South MP believes the party should rather focus on how to gain power in 2016.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Mr. Balado Manu urged his party members to desist from issues that will bring the image of the party into disrepute.
I will plead with the NPP members to put aside who they want to lead the party in 2016. He (Nana Addo) said he wants to rest for some time some so lets allow him to rest, he said.
