A former National Youth Organiser of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bonfeh also known as Kabila has said the downgrading of Ghanas economy from B+ to B by Fitch, an international rating agency is not surprising.
Speaking on Kokrokoo, Kabila said Fitch has even been charitable to us especially looking at what is going on currently with our economy.
He said the issue of the economy going from bad to worse is no longer news because the current administration always defend the indefensible
Even the money that is borrowed is not being used judiciously. There is nothing substantial to show for it. Apart from that there is corruption everywhere and so from B+ to B; its not surprising he opined.
Kabila however indicated that all is not lost; government must take steps immediately to do something about it because we still have revenue from our taxes, oil and other resources to put our economy back on track
