The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper says for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be able to solve most of the challenges the party is facing, the top echelon and National Executives of the party needs to be neutral.
Speaking to the brouhaha surrounding the flagbearership race, Kwesi Pratt said the newly elected national executives led by its Chairman; Paul Afoko, must stick to the rules of engagement and avoid taking sides or picking favourites.
This, according to him, will lower the controversies and help in bringing the party together.
The neutrality of the newly elected executives is key to finding a solution to the problems in the party, he indicated.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Kokrokoo platform, Kwesi Pratt asserted that some of the names being mentioned as those who are nursing the idea of aspiring for the position of a flagbearer are amazing.
I wonder what they see when they look into a mirror. You know that as for this position you will not win but yet you go ahead and spend so much (resources -money and time) in contesting. All the same, we are in a democratic dispensation, so some of these things can be allowed, he added.
