President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday returned to Ghana after attending the inauguration of President Jacob Zuma of South Africa in Pretoria.
During his three- day stay in the Southern African country, President Mahama attended the inaugural ceremony of President Zuma at the Amphitheater of the Union Buildings, held some bilateral discussions among other programmes.
President Mahama was accompanied by Ms Hannah Tetteh, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Joseph Nii Afotey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister and other government officials.
The South African President was sworn-in and took the oath of office to serve for the next five years.
President Zuma won the second term after a resounding victory in the general election on May 7 this year.
President Zuma is the third President, in the 20 years of democratic rule in South Africa, after Nelson Madiaba Mandela and Thabo Mbeki.
The inauguration also marked 20 years of democratic rule in South Africa.
