Hundreds of party faithful, sympathizers and delegates from all walks of life converged in the Ashanti Regional capital to elect national officers to lead the party for the next four years.
The race has been fierce as party bigwigs and interest groups backed �favourite� candidates.
Sweep around the Ashanti regional capital revealed party supporters at Aboabo, Alabar and Asawase glued to radio sets and social media following proceedings.
Both local and foreign observers including Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) also dispatched several officers to ensure free and fair elections as well as peaceful elections.
