The Chief of Ekumfi Techiman has called on the government of Ghana to formulate policies and programs that will see a rapid rate of development of the Central Region.
According to Nana Essel VI, it is about time the leadership of the country took a second look at the developmental agenda for Ekumfi and the Region at large in order to achieve the set developmental goals.
“..At this point in time, chiefs like myself are calling for a comprehensive policy guideline that can accelerate development and raise the standard of living of the people of Ekumfi,” he said at this year’s Akwambo Festival of the people of Ekumfi Techiman.
However, the former Member of Parliament of the area, who was one of the invited guests to the festival, assured the Ekumfi Techiman Township of government’s readiness to partner its Chiefs and people to chart a development course.
“..Government will be ready to listen to you and incorporate your ideas in everything they do to bring relief to the people of Ekumfi,” Geroge Kuntu Blankson said.
He also expressed delight at the fact that the Chief of Ekumfi Techiman is passionate about the development of his community and by extension, the Central Region.
The former Law Maker further admonished the people of Ekumfi Techiman to take the education of their wards seriously because they are the future leaders.
