NPP Will Shut Up In Three Months

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will soon come to the end of the road after a long ride on the backs of ‘Dum Sor’ and cedi instability as propaganda vehicles.

This is because, while the NPP has all this while busied itself with propaganda, president Mahama and his government have been busily working on permanent antidotes that will bring longstanding national problems to an end in a way that will justify the means.

These antidotes, according to Paapa Bissue, NDC’s Communication officer for Ayawaso Central, are ready to be applied.

“I give the NPP just three months, they will shut up!” Paapa Bissue declared to NDC Communicators from the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency of the Greater Accra Region on Saturday.

At an orientation programme that had been organized for these communicators at Sowutuom, Paapa Bissue urged his colleagues to ready themselves for winsome selling points of John Mahama that they will soon be armed with.

He also urged them to look forward to a sure victory for the NDC in 2016 as they project the good deeds of President Mahama to the people.

Treating his audience with teasers, Paapa Bissue said the ongoing power crisis will, by September start abating.

In addition to the two power barges that are coming from Turkey’s Karpowership, thermal plants that had broken down will be put back to work after repairs, he told the assembly.

“These plants have actually been fixed but at the moment they are being test run,” he said, emphasizing that they will be redeployed by September.

In addition to the thermal plants, he reminded that General Electric, in addition to the long term project of establishing a generation of some 1000mw, will in the short to medium term also add some 300 mw to the national grid.

“There are also companies like Jacobson and Armadi bringing generation capacities while VRA itself is also working to put in place some plants,” he said.

Papa Bissue, an outspoken man who knows his onions, urged his colleagues to be steadfast in their service to the party, saying that when government eventually fixes ‘Dum Sor’ which is a longstanding national problem that has transcended every government, the NPP will have nothing else in the power sector to detract government with.

He said the challenges facing President Mahama are two, being Dum Sor, and the cedis fall in value.

For the latter, he said government is also well on top of the issue and is assiduously fixing it, even though the NPP are doing everything to make the problem remain.
