Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has described the tensed Tuesday by-election which was characterized with some violence and barbarism as “unfortunate”.
He accused the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] of staging such barbaric attacks during the elections.
According to him, the NDC has always opted for aberrant ways of winning elections – a situation he called on other political parties to – “learn and practice” in future.
Speaking on NeatFM's political morning show, "Ghana Montie", Owusu Bempah labeled the NDC as hooligans – “They always intimidate”.
He told host of the show Akwasi Aboagye that – “Intimidations will always win you elections in this country now. Opposition parties must learn from that. NDC has taught us all this and we will do same in 2016”.
The ruling NDC reclaimed the Talensi seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a tensed contest on Tuesday.
Both the NDC and NPP are doing the blame game accusing each other of staging violence during the by-election held yesterday.
