Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwamena Duncan says detractors of his party's flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, will be shamed in the final analysis since their machinations will not see the light of the day.
According to Kwamena, those who are seeking the downfall of Nana Addo will not succeed in their efforts because in his estimation, Nana Addo has been blessed by his Maker.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kwamena Duncan expressed strong aversion towards the numerous fabricated stories and allegations which have been leveled against the NPP flagbearer.
“Who God bless, no one curse! All the evil plots and fabrications planned against him, walahi, shall not succeed.”
He was commenting on the Talensi by-election that saw the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) recapturing the seat.
Eight Parliamentary candidates from various political parties contested in the by-election which became vacant after Robert Monsore stepped down as Member of Parliament for the constituency.
He abdicated the seat after being enskinned as Tongo Chief.
Addressing issues prior, during and after the by-election which was characterized by some pockets of violence, Kwamena Duncan pointed out that the election of B.T Baba will not affect the fortunes of the NPP.
He believed the Talensi constituency has become "virtually a very rural constituency, very deprived, very impoverished" due to the failures of the Mahama administration.
He cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of the Mahama government, come 2016.
"...if you look at the level of the waste of money...in Talensi, then Ghanaians let’s be ready for 2016.”
