The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has assured the parliamentary candidates for Cape Coast North and South constituencies of the Central Region of his commitment of ensuring that the candidates win the seats for the party in the 2016 general elections.

Nana Addo said the seats have been occupied by the NPP for several years through the efforts of Madam Christie Churcher and would do everything possible to get the seats back.

In view of that he had promised to put in more resources and offer strategies to enable them recapture the seats from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Nana Addo gave the assurance when executives of the party from the two constituencies paid a courtesy call on him to introduce their parliamentary candidates to him at his residence.

The flagbearer stressed the need for various aspirants who contested the recent parliamentary primaries to close their ranks and campaign massively for the party to win the 2016 general elections.

He emphasized the need for supporters of the party to tell the public what the party can do for the nation, adding they should avoid politics of insults.

“Let us work together in solidarity and sincerity to put the country to its right path, I am fighting to make history for this country thereby making the nation the best among other nations when given the nod” he added.

For her part, the Cape Coast North Parliamentary Candidate, Mrs. Baabara Asher Ayisi pledged to work hard to ensure that Nana Addo wins the 2016 general elections.

Mrs. Asher Ayisi who had served as a polling station executive, constituency deputy secretary and government appointee under the former President John Agyekum Kufour’s administration noted that although people received her victory with surprise, she sees it as her time for the delegates to reward her for her contribution towards the party.

She said although there had been some divisions in the party after the primaries, the constituency executives had put in place measures to ensure that unity is sustained to ensure total victory.

The Cape Coast South Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Michael Arthur Dadzie noted that although the party would recapture the seat from the NDC, they would not be complacent but work extra hard to widen the margin.
