The Founder, flag-bearer and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor is currently embarking on a tour of the US to solicit support for her party ahead of next year’s general elections.
The outspoken politician popular for her scathing comments against the flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo, was spotted in Brooklyn, New York with a few supporters and well-wishers toting posters of her.
Speaking to ghnewsnow, Madam Donkor intimated that she is in New York to spread her party’s message to Ghanaians in the diaspora and to solicit all manner of support ahead of next year’s general elections. The avid supporter of President John Mahama says she is full of hope and is poised to be Ghana’s next and first female president come December 2016.
Madam Donkor also took time out to pay a courtesy call on Ghana’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, H.E. (Mrs) Martha Ama Akyaa Pobee.
