Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea has lauded ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas for latest work which delved into happenings within the judiciary.
According to him, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his company, Tiger Eye PI, deserve an award for their insightful investigative piece.
Nana Akomea, commenting further about the latest judicial scandal, called for an anti-corruption institution to be set up to check the growth of corruption in the country.
To him, the State should institutionalize and also fight against this societal canker.
“Anas has paved the way for us. We should commend him. We must award him but as part of anti-corruption stance as a State, we should institutionalize it. We should become a formal part of the fight against corruption,” he said.
The NPP Communicator bemoaned the rot in the judiciary where some judges have been caught on video receiving bribes to compromise their ruling on cases.
