Mustapha Hamid, spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, says his boss is focused on his campaign to win the December 7 presidential polls.
According to him – claims that Nana Addo is sick and has been diagnosed with cancer by a hospital in the UK is a strategy by their opponents to distract the party’s focus during their campaign tour.
Speaking on Neat FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', Mustapha Hamid noted that, Nana Addo who is currently on his campaign in the Upper East region is in good health and ready to serve the people of Ghana.
“This publication is from our opponent and I am not afraid to say that. Nana Addo has no cancer,” he rubbished the claims.
"If he were as sick as the so called report is stating, how then could he be campaigning like he is?” he asked.
The latest edition of the Africa Watch magazine said the NPP leader had been diagnosed of cancer – however, Mustapha Hamid assured that “At the right time we will take legal action against those behind the story. But for now we are focusing on our campaign.”
