The planned demonstration by ‘Concerned Customers and Sympathisers of DKM Diamond Microfinance Ltd., God is Love Fun Club, And Other Microfinance Companies’ in the Brong Ahafo Region on Saturday September 17 is a “campaign strategy” of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to court disaffection for President John Mahama and the NDC in the area, the governing party’s General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said.
The group members, whose investments have been locked up in the various firms, scheduled a nationwide demonstration on the same day the NDC will be launching its manifesto in the region.
Reacting to the planned demonstration on Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM on Friday September 16, Mr Asiedu Nketia said the NPP was behind the agitations of the DKM victims.
He noted that the NPP legislators in the region began politicising the microfinance fraud by lying to the aggrieved customers that DKM belonged to First Lady Lordina Mahama.
Mr Nketia wondered why anybody would blame the government for an individual investment decision that had gone bad. “Should we use the taxpayers’ money to pay for someone’s investment that has gone bad?” he asked.
In his opinion, the NPP has no campaign message for the people in the region and, therefore, are hiding behind the microfinance fraud to stage demonstrations and to perpetrate lies about the NDC.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has stopped the aggrieved customers from going ahead with their planned demonstration arguing that they have to provide security for the NDC during their campaign launch.

Where is your thinking cup?? When did DKM disappointed clients became NPP supporters ? If you and your NDC Aseidu Nkaita do not have a brain of your own that is your problem, leave NPP and of your stupidityyyyy.
folks it saddens my heart reading what general mosquito just said as if these victims could not reason for themselves. So in this country it only the npp who will tell u something before u will act. u see the investment done by the people are their own risks so as govt u do not go there promising them u will make sure they get their money in the first place. Now they have taken yr promise to deliver and is not coming they want to demonstrate u say is npp telling them to do it. let us be serious for once in this country.
Asiedu Nketia, I do not know why you guys keep playing into the hands of these nation wreckers. What did you expect? These are people who will want to take political advantage of everything even death. What informed the choice of BA? I guess dep thoughts did not go into this. You guys need political strategists to guide you in some of these things. And for those hooligans, when they were giving the money to DKM was NDC there? Dont they have common sense that there is no business in this country that yields such returns? Greed has brought them where they are now so they should ***barred word*** and let us have our peace. Who told them NPP would get their money back for them? DKM is a private insitution. Think,
So u think the NDC people who get their money there are happy so they will praise u, NPP don't have time for u wai. I know an NDC who get his 70,000GH with DKM and u expect him to praise u people after making promises to give them back their money. You even promised this month and today is 16th but they see no attempt. General ntomtom stop the cheap and childish talk and go and tell them something better
