The Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area, Naa Puo-Ure Puobekyiir VII has called for President of Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to be retained as President of the Republic of Ghana in the coming polls.
The Chief said this when the Chief of Staff Mr Julius Debrah and the General Secretary of the NDC Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah called on him to campaign for President Mahama and the ruling NDC's candidate for Nandom, Dr Richard Kuunre.
Naa Puo-Ure Puobekyiir VII who is also a Former President of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs stated among other things that "we are very grateful to the government of the NDC for giving us this District.." Drawing on his international exposure he asserted that "I have lived in Europe for twenty years. And as I keep saying when a government is doing well you must retain that government." "We are praying that the government of President Mahama will be retained."
Observing the good works of the government of President Mahama the Paramount Chief, to loud cheers from his subjects, said "we are also grateful that Ko Polyclinic has been upgraded." He went on to note, "I was surprised to also learn that the government has started preparing to work on the Kamba Irrigation Project." He therefore sees no reason for which this government of President Mahama should be changed especially when at this current rate of progress, when there are resources, he expects the rest of the road beyond Lawra through Nandom to Hamile will be constructed by this current government.
It would be recalled that the Chief of Staff Mr Julius Debrah, on Tuesday, asserted at the Palace of the Wa Naa that the destiny of a nation is not necessarily about trial and error. Therefore, once the system of a nation is working we must keep it going to bring about the change we desire. He noted that countries like Malaysia, China and other in Asia have achieved progress not because they changed governments by trial, but because they kept governments that were working.
This view by the Chief of Staff has strongly been corroborated by the influential paramount chief of the Nandom Traditional Area, Naa Puo-Ure Puobekyiir VII.

am very much disappointed at this chief considering his exposure and paramouncy yet he can go this low for just a gift. he has spoken his mind but the masses will decide. stomach chief
with all the evidence of incompetence and corruption, only a fuuuuuuuuuuuul will support mahama and NDC. All right minded Ghanaians will join and kicckk out the eddddiotic president in the flagstaff house and restore our country to the right path with proper leaders.
THE ONLY THINGS MAHAMA PROVIDED FOR GHANAIANS FOR 8 YEARS ARE POVERTY, HUNGER, SICKNESS AND CORRUPTION. MAHAMA MUST GO!!! NO 3RD TERM FOR ATOPAHENE JOHN FORD.
OooooH Nana I was in Nandom a couple of weeks ago. The road leading to your traditional seat was terrible. Everything about Nandom was negative. Oh poor Nana may be you don.t have a basis of comparison, so you are content with this cosmetic visit. Travel elsewhere and see what people have gained for not supporting NDC.
Fo Yao, are you alright or you just blinded by tribalism? If they were incompetent they would send this country from HIPC created by your party to lower middle income group, if they were incompetent they wouldn't find the oil since your party fromP/NDC tried but we're blind so couldn't see. If they were corrupt why couldn't you send them to jail?or was it you had block headed lawyers? Such people like you, who have been brainwashed with hate are the cause of the backwardness of this country. Shine Your eyes to see a good choice for your future.
The Chief didn't say that, they are dancing to their own music. If you've done a good job why would you run to the U/W for a chief's endorsement. Julius Debrah asked them to endorse the president that's all. They are desperate. Aben b3 bom bom. That song has made the thi*ves so confused they are running here running there, running every where for cover. 'Na me see' if Rawlings the most charismatic couldn't retain his party on Ghanaians who else? These chiefs can endorse but they have only one thumb. Gone are the days they could convince their subjects, people are discerning and can't be taking for granted. Why is John mahama himself not showing up there, but sending Amissah Arthur and Julius Debrah.? His poor showing at his own tuff during this accounting to the people scare him, but is Amissah Arthur or Julius Debrah ' s face going to be on the ballot paper? NDC should know not this time for the them to pull it fast, it will never work for them.Charlotte Osei should be careful, because the u.s.a will never admit her and not any of the western world if she plunges this country into chaos. Even her home country Nigeria will not accept her and she must know, her darling boy John mahama never leave home without a gun on him, why? When all the security is at his disposal he still don't feel safe and carry ' s a gun so you let them deceive you, those guys who will be assigned to you for your escape when you plunge this country are the ones to finish you up. Ghanaians love their country more than an individual.
Are you dressing the NDC in borrowed robes? Your description fits the NPP! Go back into history, the Kufour regime is a case study of corruption (remember it started from Adam), cronyism (70% Akan Ministers) and mismanagement (Selling govt lands to themselves).
Retain what? Corruption, cronyism and mismanagement? Come again Chief. Never again. Nana is coming.
