Ghanaians can count on Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, in their quest for the kind of leadership that can salvage the country from the current sordid state of affairs under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, Prof Stephen Adei has said.
The former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration believes apart from the leader of the largest opposition party, the Presidential Candidate of the Progressive People’s Party, Papa Kwesi Nduom, can also perform better than the incumbent president.
According to Prof Adei, President Mahama has led a “despicable team of young people” that has not done justice to Ghana, adding that if the late President John Evans Atta Mills had not died and led the NDC government in the last eight years in office, the country would have progressed.
Speaking on Class FM yesterday, Prof Adei said under the leadership of President Mahama “there have been serious setbacks” to the nation’s forward march.
He stressed: “Honestly I believe that President Mahama has not been very good to us in the sense that even within the NDC, he has not used the capable people. He has used basically incompetent people; young people whose only turf is just insulting. There are capable people in NDC. He should not rule with this bunch of incompetent young people. And to me it pains me and I hold Mahama responsible because he has all these people who are competent and he has not used them.”
On the way forward for the nation as it prepares for the December 7 polls, Prof Adei said Ghanaians have good alternatives in both Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Nduom.
“I think as usual we have two alternatives. I hope that Mahama has learnt his lessons in that should he win, he would do better. But I have no doubt that people like Papa Kwesi Nduom and Nana Akufo-Addo, if Mahama loses, will provide a much better alternative for Ghana. For me, I hope that Mahama’s second term will be better. If he hasn’t learnt from what has happened, then may God help us. But then I think that the alternatives are good and I have no doubt at all of the capacity of Nduom or of Nana Akufo-Addo to provide superior leadership for Ghana.”

Thank U Prof.. As usual the babies with sharp teeth will insult u.. May be they should go back and check ur record at Gimpa..
By their fruit you shall know them.
THIS MAN IS TALKING LIKE A POLITICIAN. I DARE HIM TO START CAMPAIGNING FOR AKUFO-ADDO. A LEADER WHO CAN'T KEEP HIS OWN PARTY TOGETHER. HOW CAN HE RULE DR. KWAME NKRUMAH'S GHANA?
Intellectual dishonesty will make people vote against the NPP anyday anytime. The NPP is in bad shape yet you're asking us to vote them into office to acid sprsy us, insult us and disorganize Ghana. The man has not uited his party but you say he is a better option for Ghana. These are the things that make some of us think that, you just hate the President and you are doing everything possible to get Nana to where he does not belong. With the NPP exit from government cocaine business has gone down and this is a man who associates himself with most of the drug barons. Owner of Le Baron Hotel is an example. So all these cries are cries of drug barons whose trade has experienced a nose dive. Adei's own professorial title has been challenged in court so where lies you competnece claims. Nana was not born to be President ...Period!
What more can I say?
IF NANA AKUFFO ADDO CAN PROVIDE SUCH KIND OF LEADERSHIP YOU ARE CLAIMING,WHY IS THE NPP IN DISARRAY?. IS NPP THE NPP KUFFOUR LEFT?. A GOOD LEADER IS SOMEONE WHO INSPIRES AND TRIES TO BRING EVERY ONE ON BOARD TO ACHIEVE A COMMON PURPOSE.WHY HAS NANA ADDO FAILED TO DO THIS IN HIS OWN HOUSE?. WE ARE DISCERNING AND IT IS NOT YOU WHO SHOULD TELL US THIS RUBBISH.
You know what, this Mahama government has made owning a business is Ghana extremely difficult. The service industry we were relying on is gradually grounding to a halt. We need a change in leadership desperately.
Even the NDC, if they truly love Ghana, should have stepped aside and allowed a more competent Government to return. I watched Otukonor (is that the name?) discuss education policy with Nsowah yesterday on PM Express. My question was 'what happened to Ghana?' That people like Otukonor of NDC is talking about education policy for this country when Nsowah is alive? Even if NDC is Government, cant we have a more competent hand? For the sake of GHANA? Ghanaians are not this incompetent for goodness sake!
SPOT ON PROF..GOD BLESS YOU.. SURE NANA ADDO IS COMING LIKE KAKAI!!!!
I agree with Prof. Adei. Nana Addo or Kwesi Nduom will do better than Mahama any day. We need to look at our production carefully. The borrowing for consumption is too much. And now he is sharing money. KaI
