A former Chief Executive Officer of the Volta River Authority Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby, has stated that he is ready and willing to serve, should he be appointed by President Akufo-Addo.
According to the tough-talking politician, although he feels he has outgrown a ministerial position, he would consider other critical roles directed his way by the President.
Speaking on Starr Chat Wednesday, ‘Tarzan’, as he is popularly known, urged Ghanaians to avoid stampeding the president in his appointments. “I believe I have contributed my part to the development of this country.
I have served under every conceivable government since the 4th republic, and I gave off my best in all the cases as an engineer. I was the one who introduced the gas cylinder in this country and also started the rural electrification project with Ato Ahwoi. As an engineer, I have given my best to my country and I have lived a fulfilled life,” he said.
He continued: ” I don’t think I want to be a minister now, I am beyond that. I have served in different positions, so I think others must be given the opportunity to also play their part but I am willing to serve in other roles. I will say I am ready to serve”.
Mr. Wereko-Brobby also revealed that the President was against his suspension by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
“When the party’s disciplinary committee met over, it was only Akufo-Addo who voted against my suspension”.

FOOD IS READYYYYYYYY COME AND EAT! You! Wereko Brobbey, the "wisest" person in the NPP and your likes of Arthur Kennedy and Nyaho Tamakloe should not dream of coming close to this administration. You left the NPP in the year 2000 in much the same way as you been divorcing your wives and contested and lost the election yet you became a huge beneficiary of the then NPP regime. You again contested for the NPP chairmanship race lost and threatened to take the party to court yet when the NPP took the 2012 election to court, you ridiculed the party Dr Bawumia and thus brought the name of the party into disrepute. When you were suspended, you ridiculously said the suspension should be extended and also went your way to oppose the NPP in its effort to get the voters register cleansed. Now, what are you saying? You think we wash our faces upward? Or there are no wise persons anymore apart from you that we must rely? Please, don't annoy us. ***barred word***! Waben, bedzie!
