The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Koku Anyidoho has said that the fact finding Professor Kwesi Botchwey election review committee, tasked to investigate why the NDC lost Election 2016 has unveiled a myriad of problems within the NDC.
To him, setting up the committee was “one of the best decisions we’ve taken as a political party", because it is telling us that the anger, pain and bitterness expressed by members were indicators to the reasons for the about one million of sympathisers not voting for the NDC. According to Mr Anyidoho, the said one million voters, not only refused to vote for the NDC, but they abstained from the polls and did not vote for the NPP as well.
“We are now getting to the bottom of the issues, telling us that these are the reasons why we didn’t go out to vote,” Mr Anyidoho said in a radio interview with Accra based Oman FM.
Ironically, before Election 2016, the leadership and functionaries of the NDC continuously touted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was a party full of divisive tendencies and confusion and did not deserve the mandate to govern.
Rather, the NDC leadership touted the party as the best form and example of a united party that deserved to be given the mandate to rule.
Making the revelation however in the radio interview, Mr Anyidoho said the grassroots of the NDC have been giving them a litany of the reasons why they didn’t vote for the NDC.
“For me as a party leader, that is very, very encouraging, if these people had not opened up to the committee for us to get to the bottom of the matter, then we can’t solve the problem. So I am encouraged that the one million people who did not vote for the NDC. If this exercise go round, we will take our million votes back.

I want to ask the total number of registered members of NDC? How many of these supposed registered voted vis a vis the votes obtained by NDC? Do these supposed one million voters even exist? well, i have my doubts. Come again.
Divisions or cracks in the NDC is nothing new, It is no new finding. Divisions have always been there from the Goozy Tanors, Obed Asamoahs, Peter Kpordubge's, and etc and etc until the Rawlingses NDP so what is new about Kwesi Botchway's finding. After all if there were no cracks in the NDC why were you touting Mahama as a unifyer and tounting Nana Addo as being divisive. Come alive and stop the blame game because the one -party state mentality no longer works anywhere in Africa. Let NPP rule small, if they perform it is the entire Ghana that benefits if they mess up, it can be an opportunity for NDC. If you want to be a presidential candidate start printing your posters and stop wasting the ears of NDC sympathizers.

Day dreamer Koku. Oh! I thought you are in comfortable lead. You people shouldn't venture at all at all. You are going to lose massively if you dare. A word to the wise is in .....................
THE ONLY RELIABLE MEANS FOR NDC TO WIN ELECTION IS BY RIGGING. AS THEIR RIGGING METHOD WAS RESTRICTED IN THE 2016 ELECTION THEY ARE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER METHOD FOR RIGGING. THEY ARE THEREFORE LOOKING FOR ARGUMENT TO JUSTIFY THEIR APPROACH.
If the said 1million ppl did not vote for the NDC nor the npp, then how come the Npp had over a million votes more than the NDC? They should have got the same as in 2012? Or is it that the NDC manipulated the 2012 election results? Koku Anyidoho should come again and give us a break with his pomposity and ill ego
Ghanaians voted against ndc because corruption in the government was too much, ndc executives like Koku and co very disrespectful and arrogant. You could not move the economy the way we expected.so it is not about 1m people refused to vote for you.Eiii now Koku speaks on Oman fm .time changes
Don't mind that ***barred word*** for nothing Anyidaho
