President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is believed to be under high pressure from within the New Patriotic Party to release the list of his deputy ministers.
But before the official announcement of the deputies, news has gone viral that the president in the coming days will make known a list of about 50 individuals to serve as deputy ministers in his government.
The president has highly been criticized for an ‘oversized’ government he is likely to have – but NPP Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie says “It’s too early to condemn the president's knowledge on governance”
“I will not allow anyone to heckle the president on this issue. He knows what is right and experts to assign to various sectors. So let’s allow him to work,” he said.
Even though some individuals want the inclusion of the former AFAG president in the Nana Addo-led government – the lawmaker said his quest was to see Nana Addo in power and not to ‘fight’ for position in his government.
“It is my responsibility to see to it that Nana Addo’s policies are well executed. That should be the aim of all NPP members. The President’s legacy is my legacy,” he said on Accra-based ADOM FM.
