The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has envisaged that the appointed Information minister with three deputies will only be engaging in ‘azar’ activities which will not be beneficial to Ghanaians.
According to him, these ministers who have been tasked to do damage control for the government will not add any value to the ministry as Ghanaians are made to believe.
He said the ministers will only be singing praises of the Akufo-Addo’s government without painting the true picture of the economy to Ghanaians even when things go bad.
Mr Nketia stated that the work load is heavy for the government hence the ‘unnecessary’ appointments which is creating tension in the country.
Speaking with Kwame Adinkra on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo, he wondered why the government will detach the Information ministry from Communication ministry when the two could merged to work effectively by cutting down cost on ministerial appointments.
‘These information ministers’ work will only inure to the benefits of the government. Why appoint three deputies to head one ministry, what at all will they be doing? if not propaganda work for the government. They (Akufo-Addo’s government) cannot do the work, but they are finding ways to convince Ghanaians that they are working around the clock to turn things around,’ he claimed.
He mocked the Akufo-Addo’s government for underestimating the presidency saying the president is in a panic mood.
Mr Nketia objected to the creation of Minister of State at the Office of the President in charge of Public Procurement to be headed by the deputy majority leader Sarah Adwoa Sarfo.
A section of Ghanaians have criticised the President for the huge size of his appointments describing it as ‘job for the boys’.

The likes of Asiedu Nketia would be tapping palm wine had it not been the vision less NDC wasting the economy of the state of Ghana. They are completely jokers who meandered their ways through politics of deceit to milk the nation. We are watching to see what shall become of them in the next four years.
Asiedu Nketiah the biggest problem with you is where did you put the campaign money JDM gave you? You people came out to lie about lack of resources from the presidency where as even business men who went to him for cash donations were directed to you and your company but yet still you went to him for money which he gave you so my question is where are the momies? Why are you people so wicked like that, why didn't you advise him he was going to lose so he should stop spending but you got more for your own interest ? Were you fare to your president? And you have the mouth and guts to talk about the NPP and that us*less guy called Jonathan lagos who doesn't know where he comes from is also opening his cavity with sh*t. An idi*t like that is also insulting aaah! Such a fo*l with st*pid parents who didn't nurture him so is so uncultured and unco*th jerk like that. Ndc is disgusting and I pity those who vote for that party. Wait for more to come from the ndc camp, so divided and hate and envy themselves they wanted the guy to lose so they fight for the leadership of the party foooools. Ndc yamutu. Ndc will never come to power again.
it's good that you see how incompetency you and your party are just with eight years that your came into power you manage to destroy everything you touch, and somebody has come to solve the problem with competent ministers you shouting Some of you who will survive to be clean from corruption to come back to Parliament I will advise you to study good governance from Nana Addo this man who has a team and they understand what they are doing even non-economist can read into their lay down plan. A word to a wise is enough.
