Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Madam, Otiko Afisa Djaba, is facing some backlash from Ghanaians for her comments on rape, where she stated that short skirts attract rapists – a comment many have called unfortunate.
Even before the level of criticism subsides, the Minister is on record to have branded her fellow Minister as an albino, a comment that may not go down well with that Minister.
In a radio interview on Starr FM on the subject of disability, the Minister, in defending the rights of the disabled, called the Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid an albino.
“Persons with albinism in some places are not supposed to operate but our Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid, is an albino.”
The intriguing bit about her comment, is the fact that, Mr. Hamid is said to have never accepted the tag of an albino on his persona, www.entertainmentgh.com has learnt.
Madam Djaba went on to talk about how persons with disability are useful and have potential.
