Editor-In-Chief of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, Ben Epson, says the suspended General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong is likely to stage a comeback for his position.
The General Secretary position of the NPP is currently being occupied by John Boadu in an acting capacity.
According to Ephson, Agyapong despite being shortlisted for appointment in the Akufo-Addo led government would fight his way to contest the position when nominations are opened.
However, he is likely to face a stiff opposition from the immediate past General Secretary of the party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, aka Sir John and the National Organiser, John Boadu “who has acted as General Secretary for the past two years and brought the party to power.”
Agyapong’s comeback, according to Ephson, will be subject to the lifting of his suspension together with that of the National Chairman, Paul Afoko and the 2nd National Vice Chairman of the party, Sammy Crabbe.
Ephson, speaking in an interview with Kasapa FM, Tuesday, said available information to him suggests that the suspension of the trio (Kwabena Agyapong, Paul Afoko and Sammy Crabbe) will be lifted before nominations are opened.
However, he said Agyapong’s chances are very slim compared to John Boadu.
“I am sure with all the three giving their weaknesses and strengths, the delegates will give it to John Boadu who has acted in that capacity and won power for the party. He has worked hard for it so why not?” he noted.
With Sir John, he said it will be in his own interest to “be where he is because we don’t change a winning team.”

INTERESTING WORLD WE FIND OURSELVES. WELL LET KWADNA TRY HIS LUCK AND PARTY MEMBERS WILL DECIDE
So now, Mr. Ephson (so-called pollster) you've seen your smoothness level? you've been cut into pieces!!! But why won't Mr. agayepong and Afoko contest? why won't they? Mahama is still interested in a come-back and he will need traitors and saboteurs in the NPP so Mr. Agyepond and Massa afoko will fit the bill. Mr. Ephson, many of us reading your less-patronized and troubled news paper have higher IQ than probably yourself. Happy AU day!
Ben Ephson, Please s.h.u.t u.p! You seemed to have lost your all your credibility as a pollster!
Ben Ephson, please ***barred word*** to save any credibility left. You seemed to have completely lost your relevance as a pollster!
Spare us this krap! His political career is dead and gone. That is what Bribe from NDC could do. Do you think NPP members have no Brains? He will not even sail through vetting to get humiliated on the election day.
LOOK AT THE STOMACH JOUNALIST.PLEASE DON'T BRING ANY CONFUSION WAI.NDC MAN.
Ben, ***barred word***. Your predictions are no longer relevant after disgracing yourself in last December's election soo badly.
Ephson u don't have credibility so keep quiet. NDCs polster
Such a traitor! He will lose portorrrrrr!
Don't think Kwadbena will run for it; if he does it will be the biggest political defeat of his life. He must first show sincere remorse and redeem his image as many concluded he alongside Afoko did well to nearly collapse the NPP. I agree he has a lot to offer but must first redeem that seriously dented image... It was so obvious and cannot be swept under the carpet just like that.
