NPP’s John Boadu has confirmed to NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie' that, all government appointees who double as National Executive members of the NPP have all resigned from their postions.
The acting General Secretary of the ‘Elephant’ fraternity says the decision for them to resign from their position was a mutual agreement between the party and the immediate past National Executives.
The need for the former National Executives to vacate their positions could be as a result of the ‘dirty’ exchange of words that ensued between Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba who was then serving as Minster for Gender cum National Women’s Organizer of the NPP and Daniel Bugri Naab, Northern Regional Chairman.
The NPP Northern Regional minister disrupted a meeting organised by Otiko Djaba which he says was without his knowledge. The two later engaged in name calling complete with defamatory allegations.
Mr. Naabu who described the meeting as “illegal” noted that the Gender Minister has no right to come to the region to organize a meeting without first informing the regional executives, saying that even the president would not throw his weight about in such manner.
But Madam Djaba, reacting to the action of the Northern Region NPP Chairman, said she had gone to Tamale to meet the women groups at the instance of the First Lady, Madam Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Having concluded the First Lady’s assignment, she then decided to meet the women organizers of the NPP “to say a big thank you for working tirelessly to win power for the party”.
The party after calming tempers down urged all National Executives who have been appointed by government to leave their positions.
John Boadu however told NEAT FM’s morning show host Kwesi Aboagye that – “They have all resigned. I have officially congratulated them for their immense contributions to the party’s achievements by winning the 2016 elections.”
“Now we are working on the replacement process,” he added.

this john boadu guy is destroying npp. he is creating serious division in npp between npp people in state institutions and the party executives. he is too selfish.
YES WHAT HON. KEN IS SAYING IS RIGHT. FOR INSTANCE, SOME STAUNCH NPP MEMBERS HAVE WORKED WITH NHIS FOR SEVERAL YEARS WITHOUT PROMOTION BECAUSE OF THEIR PERCEIVED AFFILIATION WITH NPP.MOST OF THEM ARE BIG TIME FINANCIERS OF THE PARTY IN THEIR VARIOUS CONSTITUENCIES.INSTEAD OF THE AUTHORITY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR PROMOTIONS, THE NPP PARTY(JOHN BOADU ESPECIALLY ) HAS RATHER DIRECTED THE THE AUTHORITY TO GIVE ALL THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT POSITIONS TO ONLY CONSTITUENCY AND REGIONAL EXECUTIVES WHO DO NOT EVEN HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE AND EVEN DID NOT CONTRIBUTE PENNY TOWARDS THE CAMPAIGN. SO DO YOU EXPECT THEIR DISAPPOINTED STAFF TO CONTRIBUTE ALL THEIR RESOURCES IN 2020? THE MP;S WHO KNEW VERY WELL THEIR EFFORTS TOWARDS THE PARTY ALL THESE YEARS ARE ALSO VERY WICKED. THEY HAVE NOW DECIDED NOT TO ANSWER OR PICK CALLS. THE QUESTION IS THAT, ARE THE PARTY EXECUTIVES(CONSTITUENCY AND REGIONAL) THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WORKED FOR THE PARTY TO COME TO POWER? THIS NEGLECT IS NOT HAPPENING IN ONLY NHIS,BUT ALL THE STATE INSTITUTIONS. PLEASE SOME OF US ARE NOT READY TO GO TO OPPOSITION NOW.SO THE RIGHT THING SHOULD BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO PREVENT TOTAL APATHY WHICH WILL ADVERSELY AFFECT NPP CHANCES IN 2020. A WORD TO THE WISE IS ENOUGH.
When Dr. Nkrumah was asked about the corruption in his government he said that he believed that the only way to fight corruption is to create a strong public opinion against it. To this end, Akufo-Addo must ensure that kindergarten and primary school children across the country are taught anti-corruption poems and songs. An anti-corruption question must always appear in the BECE.
@Kofi - You made my day! It is needless to write more👍🏿
Good work done John. We are solidly behind you.never be detracted by your opponents.its our fervent prayer that the Lord Almighty will help us to lead this country for long do as to change this country for better.Shalom.
