Scores of supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), including some Socialist and Progressive activists on Thursday embarked on a solidarity cum protest march to commemorate the Founder’s Day celebration of the birthday of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the Founder and first President of the Republic of Ghana.
The protest march was against what they considered to be an attempt to distort history and force on Ghanaians “some founders.”
Led by members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the supporters moved from Nima, through Kwame Nkrumah Circle, to UTC and ended up at the Community Center next to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

Peace FM online, get it right please. It is Memorial Day and not Founders Day
Rawings is not the founder of NDC but a leader of the NDC. So says the NDC gurus but Nkurumah is the only Founder of Ghana. I can not understand these guys.
Crying more than the bereaved! This NDC party is birthed out of propaganda and populism. Amazing!
And where is CPP, the party that should be at the forefront today? I can bet my september pay check that if NDC was in power, they would never organise this march. At this stage in the party's life, any action to win/court sympathy and affection is welcome. Pathetic
