A former Deputy Minister of Communication in Mahama administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has denied claims he pocketed some amount of money allegedly meant for members of the Electoral Commission (EC) to rig the 2016 elections.
According to him such claims are “baseless”.
There were reports that he had received an amount of $12 million meant to be given to members of the EC to influence the outcome of the 2016 elections, but he pocketed half of the amount and gave the other half to the dismissed EC Chairperson Charlotte Osei.
These wild claims were made by one of the Commissioners of the EC, Pauline Dadzawa.
But the former Deputy Minister denied those claims in the statement below
