Former Chief of Staff under the Kufuor administration, Kwadwo Mpiani has mounted strong opposition to Acting New Patriotic Party (NPP) Freddy Blay’s quest to be affirmed during the party’s National Executive elections slated for July 7, 2018.
Mr Blay faces strong challenge from the four-time National Chairman contender Stephen Ayesu Ntim for the National Chairman position in an election which promises to be keenly contested at the party’s National Delegates Congress which comes of in Koforidua.
Mr Mpiani in an interview with Joy News insisted that it was a mistake in the first place to elect Mr Blay as a Vice Chairman of the NPP as he has not roots in the Danquah-Busia tradition.
“The Chairman of your party is the number one person in the party and so you must give the Chairman…you may not have voted for the person, you may not even like him and we’re all in the same party, and if majority say this is what we want to be the Chairman of the party we accept. They should look at the history of the party and choose loyalty to the party.”
When my Mpiani was asked by the Host if Mr Blay is loyal to the NPP, he responded “I don’t know… he’s a very good friend of mine but I never voted for him and I told him I don’t think it was proper for him to be elected the First Vice Chairman. He’s a friend so I asked him, Freddy, even with the stature I have in the NPP if I leave the NPP today and I come to the CPP and if you’re there will you make me a potter in CPP??

Some of these things are laughterbel. Like the American dream where their land provides for equal opportunities to all, the NPP tradition is for all no matter their former background. Just accept the ideology and work accordingly and you are part of the family. One of the greatest tragedies to have ever bedeviled the NPP was the tragic death of that man Ibrahim Mahamah and all those who were perceived to have had a hand must bow down in shame and stop behaving like the Ostrich. Winning team can not be changed and all delegates must bear that in mind and silence the level headed minds trying to derail the party.Long live Ghana Long live the NPP.
Tribalism has reared its ***barred word*** head in this 21st Century Ghana. Why is Mr Mpiani referring to Blay not being part of Busia-Danquah-Dombo tradition?. Of course Blay was a CPP guy but he is a Ghanaian. When he worked hard as an acting Chairman for NPP to win the last elections Mr Mpiani did not say he was not of Busia-Danqau-Dombo tradition. in all these things, Mpiani goes on to say Blay is his friend? Oh What a friend we have in Jesus. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
THE AFOKO CAMP HAS RESSURRECTED IN STEPHEN NTIM SO WE DELEGATES MUST BE WARE. I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND WHEN I HEARD THIS OLDMAN THAT I WILL VOTE FOR BLAY FOR MY DEAR PARTY TO HAVE PEACE.
Where is this n0nsens3 coming from?Coconut head? The time you people voted for Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong you believed they were loyal members of the NPP Right" What happened? If the two had been in office the NPP would still be in cuo-cuo land twiddling its thumbs.Enough of this twaddle already. This man steered the ship of the NPP through some very stormy waters and now you are saying he is not a loyal member of the party?Your head is not the shape of Africa for nothing.
The likes of Mpiani, Anane,Kwabena Agyapong,Afoko,Ohene Nto etc are people who will not just oppose Nana Addo but resist and positives and gains by Nana. Where from him to become Chief of Staff?
Look, the guy steered NPP during a very difficult period to electoral victory. Reward Blay with the NPP Chairmanship. Do the right thing.
If NPP want to have peace and stress free. Then Freddy Blay has to win this Chairmanship Race Tomorrow, to let NPP be in peace. Voting for Stephen Ayesu Ntim, will resurrect Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong's drama. For an outlaw like Kwadwo Impiani, to come out opposing Feddy Blay and supporting Stephen Ntim. This shows, there hidden agenda from the known enemies of Progress. I have nothing against Stephen Ntim, but where he is coming from is the issue. He is not from good Camp, he is associated from a Camp that are like WILD WOLF in SHEEP Clothing. Is sad a pity for Ntim, but for the sake of the Party betterment. Freddy Blay have to Win.
Blah has been part of the winning team regardless. Yet, since he works under Nana, you will go all length to oppose Anyone associated with Nana. Ebe party you go chop?
Truth is bitter. You have said it all
Why won't he? Anything that will advance the fortune of NPP under Nana Addo, that WICKED man called Mpiani will oppose!
