Mr Stephen Ntim has declared that, his loyalty to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is unshaken, even though he has not been successful for the fourth time in his attempt to serve the party in the capacity as national chairman.
Freddie Worsemawu Blay beat Stephen Ntim by polling 3021 votes as against Ntim's 2515 votes at Saturday's national delegates conference in Koforidua.
Dr Richard Amoako Baah polled 18 votes.
"First of all I want to express my sincerest thanks to almighty God for making this day possible. I want to also thank the organisers for this conference and our distinguish delegates for doing what is expected of them," Mr Ntim said whilst accepting the results of the elections.
"It is rather unfortunate that I have to lose for the fourth time in my attempt to serve the party in the capacity of national chairman."
"However, once again it is victory for the New Patriotic Party, because we have succeeded in electing our new crop of national officers to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years."
"As usual, my loyalty to the New Patriotic Party is not shaken by what has taken place. We can continue counting on Stephen Ntim as usual, because it is party first, thank you all very much," he said.

KB, I agree with both of you and I think it was Kwadwo Mpianim who gave him that advise since about 2 days to elections he came out chastising Chairman Blay calling him not a loyal member and that the delegates should vote for Stephen Ntim, there I said to myself here he goes! Nana Addo's first against who supported Afoko and co against Nana Addo's candidature and the NPP is supporting Stephen Ntim, then the man is in trouble. The delegates heard Kwadwo Mpianim and heard him well and they've sent a strong signal to his group that never will they be allowed that chance to bring confusion. Ghanaians are very discerning and especially NPP Ghanaians must never be taking for granted. Sir John was right that fear NPP delegates.
@KB The same as me. The day I read that, I said in my mind that this man is not matured. Better for him to lose to understand that he is not wise.
Who ever advised you to come out with that news that Nana Addo told you to step down for Alhaji Short did you a big disservice. The first day I heard you respond to that issue and also affirmed it, I said to myself, this man has shot himself. It is said, "don't look back at where you fell but where you tripped". silence is sometimes golden.
