General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress has asserted that the 200 community day secondary schools promised to be built by former President John Mahama would have been ready for occupancy if the NDC was still in power.
According to him, the completion of the project would have averted the introduction of the recently implemented double track system.
“For us, we had a plan, a well thought through plan which would have taken care of this double track system that has been introduced. Just look at how our educational system has been poorly managed by this administration” he told Kasapa Fm.
“It is not right to have students sit at home whiles others are in school. The NPP government does not understand education and that is hurting our children. I tell you, if the NDC was to be in government now, we would have completed the 200 schools we started which 123 were at various levels of completion and that would have averted this double track thing” he added.
Meanwhile the Akufo Addo led government has defended the policy, arguing that the system will reduce class sizes, increase the contact hours between teachers and students, as well as increase the number of holidays.
Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said the double track system is not going to be a permanent feature on the calendar of the schools that will run it but is a temporary measure to curb the congestion.

I have always said ndc is the most uselessss association of human beings on earth, you think we are foooools in 8 years you couldn't complete it but you had completed it in 20 months, I don't how these ndc an1mals think they simply don't make sense in all that they say
LYING is NDC! You could not do in 8 yrs but could have done in 18 months? We now know NDC!
Asiedu Neketia, But we would never know, would we? You had all the opportunity to deliver and you failed. Those asking how many has the NPP built?.The E-block is not a priority for the NPP so you cant blame them. For the NPP, Free SHS is their priority and they are delivering on it, albeit with challenges as is expected. The NDC did not prioritise anything, at least not the E-blocks which could have made their argument for "infrastructure first" stand on some solid ground at least. The E-blocks were not completed. The bursary for students no one knows how many benefited. The NDC has lost this argument completely. They had 8 years to beat Nana Addo to a brilliant idea, But did they see it as a brilliant idea? Now JM says he can manage it better because the NDC now sees it a vote winner. Something that they criticised and condemned, how can they? Looks like they cannot judge the mood of ther nation. They only profess they can manage something better after the originators have conceived and/or implemented it. The NDC has no originality. SADA, NHIS, etc easily comes to mind.
AFTER 8 YEARS, THE ELECTORATE DID NOT GIVE YOU THE EXTENSION. YOU ARE FINISHED PERIOD
would you have stopped the steaaaaling to build the schools?
I hv also maintained that this is the most stu*id old man in the whole wild world. The 4th republic has had the misfortune of having this man at times being the scribe of the ruling government and at times holding the same position in opposition. This country would have been better off if someone else had held the position. His concert and sometimes absurd comments on topical national issues have become very counter productive to nation building. Let Koku (though not much difference) inherit the harebrained.
how many did NPP build in two years. Nooooonssssensss
So why did you allow yourselves to loose the elections ??? Wait till d year 3054 so that your nana kansoas come & complète them !!
Incompetent and failure in 4years you couldn't build it and now you are here making noise
