Chief of Staff and former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Akosua Frema Opare says she is really impressed with how the Electoral Commission has organised the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
The former legislature who cast her vote at the Abokyiman Presby JHS polling center explained that she was comfortable with the electoral process so far.
Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia programme in a short interview after casting her vote at her polling center, the Chief of Staff commended the Electoral Commission for their good works, adding that "the process has been peaceful."
"I know we are going to retain the seat and I urge everyone to go and vote," she added.
Boycott
Meanwhile, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has pulled out of the ongoing bye-election.
National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, who confirmed the news in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on PeaceFM's "Kokrokoo" said, they "cannot guarantee the safety of their members at the various polling centers".
