An appeal has been made to the main opposition NDC fraternity by former Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Murtala Ibrahim Mohammed to be brave enough to win the 2020 General Elections for Ghanaians.
According to him, the need to win the 2020 elections is based on the fact that President Akufo-Addo and his 'gang of family members' ruling the country, only care about their personl interests and not that of the masses.
"The only people the President and his gang of family members who have been appointed care about is their interest, and it is not for nothing that people are saying that 4 people rule this country; the President, his brother Bumpty, the Minister of Finance and Gabby Otchere-Darko," he asserted.
He alleged that all the narratives, discussions and direction regarding the state of the economy are being done by these aforementioned people.
Voicing out his anger on Radio Gold's 'Alhaji and Alhaji' programme, Murtala Mohammed charged all and sundry to put their shoulders to the wheel as next year's elections will not be won on a silver platter.
He further stressed the need to put behind all their differences to win the elections not for former President Mahama, but also to save the country from both the socioeconomic and political servitude under President Akufo-Addo.
"My sincere appeal to the NDC is that we should put on our bravest fears that we have an election to win and we will not win the elections on a silver platter. We need to work for the elections, we need to put behind us our differences," he charged.
"We need to understand that the elections we are going into is not just about winning the elections for President Mahama who is the Flagbearer of the NDC or winning the elections for NDC, it is about survival of this country, it is about liberating this country from both socioeconomic and political servitude that we have been subjected to by people who care less about the interest of the larger masses of this country," he emphasized.
He stressed that even though the NDC will participate in the by-partisan discussions of the economy as proposed by the Finance Minister, he wondered whether the NPP is prepared to take a second look at the fundamentals of the economy as it is obvious that the fundamentals of the economy are weak.

I tell you that the economy is growing well with all the indicators. Did you not see how JM was sending this country into a ditch.
A former trade minister who never built one factory for Ghanaians is still talking anyhow as usual. These deceptions worked when democracy was very young in Ghana but I am happy the NDC is maintaining their usual attacks without any solution. I wonder how these bunch of clueless individuals had the opportunity to govern this great nation. Your illiteracy stronghold is been depleted with Free SHS so think about that. A party that never wins on University campuses because these petty deceptions are exposed by the elite
Look at this NDC man. Are they not Ghanaians and also qualified? What is your problem? Tell Ghanaians what you have in stored for Ghana.
@Awal... You spoke my mind. This empty-headed ex-minister was rightly kicked out of parliament by Haruna. This is exactly how he was screaming and barking about his so-called "ill-gotten wealth" and accusing the sooth operator Haruna Iddrisu. Before he realized, he had been booted out with cheeky ease. All he knows is making loud noise full of lies!
And is doing well other that when it was run by Mr. TIO (The Incompetent One -John Mahama) and Ibrahim Mahama
SO YOUNG MAN WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? CRY YOUR OWN CRY AND LOOK FOR A JOB.
Folks, somebody check the contents of the water this programme feeds its panelists. They come out with some of the most outrageous pronouncements. If it were left with ozimazaa alone, it would be of no consequence, but check the others too. Whooaa!
There appears to be a certain psychological phenomenon that takes hold of certain politicians - especially of the NDC fraternity. How on earth can Ghana be liberated by a group that only two years ago - two years - subjected this country to the most difficult hardship it has ever witnessed? Now, let the NDC know this: the invitation to the economic dialogue is not for lack of ideas from the NPP. But so that when the policies are implemented, you propaganda-soaked NDC would be unable to make electoral capital out of it. That's why you're being invited. Don't be deceived, NDC!
Please don't deceive your self and some Ghanaians. Who is in charge of your region and districts and other gov't departments. Stop the lies.
These guys are full of hatred and enviness. They have tall mountain to climb.
