Member of Parliament [MP] for the Odododiodoo constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has disclosed that if proceedings against members of the NDC are not done in accordance with the laws of Ghana, they will forcefully make authorities act in the right direction.
According to him, the Ghana Police Service is now operating based on directives given them by the ruling NPP government, just to intimidate members of the largest opposition party.
“We will never give them the chance to dictate to us . . . if Ghana Police refuse to act per their laws then they should as well get ready to invite into their custody one NDC member everyday because we will not tolerate any nonsense as a party,” he stressed.
The former Sports Minister in John Mahama's era said the continuous investigations over allegations of kidnapping against their National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is a misplaced priority just to run down the election 2020 fighting spirit of the NDC.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, he affirmed they are not moved or distracted by the recent political attacks on some key members of their party from the government in power, but it has rather encouraged them to stand firm to face them in every angle.
“Members of the party in power must know by now that their frequent intimidations can never move us from our aim, rather it strengthens us to keep going towards our aspirations,” he added.

Nii Lante, a few weeks back I heard you condemning the Youth about their behaviour and attitude after it was alleged that some young chaps have beaten the headmaster of a school to death. I listened carefully to your submissions which were punctuated with some lies about being disciplined by caning by a man called 'Double Man'. Your present stance is a variance with all the nice things you said about discipline. With your current utterances I can say that you are not a disciplined person and you cannot be a role model for the Youth of Ghana. Let your exposure with the 'enlightened ones and institutions' reflect in you.
Hahahahaha what goes around comes around. When you were doing it to your brother you said the law enforcement agencies are doing their work now that the same is applied to you, you see it as nonsence . God have mercy on you.
