The Member of Parliament for Sekondi constituency, Andrew Egyapa Mercer has denied being a shareholder of the Power Distribution Services (PDS).
According to him, he was only engaged as a lawyer to register one of the companies, TG Energy Solutions Ghana Limited, in 2014.
“I do not have any interest or whatsoever in PDS. I am not a shareholder neither am I a Director of PDS. It's a wrong accusation; confusing matters. This accusation of selling PDS to cronies family and friends started last year . . . if you separate the chuff from the facts, you will realize that the allegations have no basis," he said.
According to him, "These are issues that have emerged post the transaction (PDS deal). Any responsible government will say hold on for the post-transaction to be investigated . . . for there to be clarity. So where is the wrong in this? Where from these ugly noises; this political chaskele?"
